Punchouts were 89 as the line read 217/301/33. Goodrum was recently sidelined due to a groin ailment, but he has since returned to the team following a rehab stint. Whether or not that’s a good thing is up for debate.
Even as a utility player, his numbers haven’t been terrific, and now that other players have stepped up, there isn’t as much room for him in the starting lineup every day.
Players like Harold and Willi Castro, as well as Jonathan Schoop, who inked a contract extension earlier this season, give the Tigers versatility.
