The National Football League (NFL) linebacker Devon Kennard was born on June 24, 1991, and he presently plays for the Arizona Cardinals. He is a humanitarian, businessman, and investor as well.

His selection came in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. In 2018, Kennard made a commitment to the Detroit Lions. He was the team captain in 2018 and 2019.
He ran for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 2019.

While playing collegiate football at USC, he obtained both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in communication management. In the fifth round (174th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft, the New York Giants made Kennard their selection.



In 2014, Kennard, one of three USC players chosen, was the 24th linebacker overall.

On March 15, 2018, the Detroit Lions and Kennard reached an agreement on a three-year, $17.25 million contract, with a $5.25 million signing bonus and an $8.50 million guarantee.


Kennard was anticipated to start as an outside linebacker during training camp.
For the opening game of the regular season, head coach Matt Patricia began Kennard as the outside linebacker with Christian Jones and starting middle linebacker Jarrad Davis.


On March 21, 2020, Kennard and the Arizona Cardinals reached an agreement on a three-year deal. Kennard recorded his first season-high sack in the Washington Football Team’s 30-15 defeat in Week 2 of the season.
