Gerrid Doaks is a running back for the Houston Texans of the National Football League. He attended Cincinnati College and was part of the Cincinnati Bearcats football team.

Gerrid Doaks College Career

Doaks attended the University of Cincinnati from 2017 until 2020, during which time he played for the school. In his senior season with the Bearcats in 2020, he was the team’s starting quarterback.

During the 9-game COVID-19 shortened season, he rushed for 673 yards and had 14 total receptions for 202 yards. Because of his senior year performance, he was named to the all-AAC first team.

In the 2021 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected Doaks in the seventh round, giving them the 244th overall pick in the draft. On May 13, 2021, he put his signature on a rookie deal that would last him for four years.

What happened to Gerrid Doaks?

Doaks was released by the Dolphins on August 31 as part of the team’s final roster cuts. The following day, he re-signed with the Dolphins practice squad. On January 14, 2022, he joined the Dolphins on a reserve/future basis by signing a deal with the team.

Doaks was released by the Dolphins on the 29th day of August 2022.

Doaks was given a spot on the Houston Texans’ practice squad on September 7, 2022, after being signed by the team.
