What Happened To Greg Van Roten?

Gregory Van Roten is an American football guard playing for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. Van Roten was born on February 26, 1990. (NFL).

The Green Bay Packers decided to take a chance on him and sign him as an undrafted free agent back in 2012. At the age of 11, Van Roten joined the youth football group known as the Baldwin Bombers and began his career as a football player.

Between the years 2005 and 2008, he studied at Chaminade High School in Mineola, New York, where he was recognized as an All-State Left Tackle.



From 2008 to 2012, Van Roten was a tackle for the University of Pennsylvania and earned Ivy League All-Conference honours.

He got his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, where he focused his studies on marketing. During his time at Penn,

he also attended the School of Law. During his time at Penn, Van Roten participated in the activities of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity as well as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

On July 25, 2012, the Green Bay Packers made Van Roten a member of their team by signing him. Between the years 2012 and 2013, he appeared in ten games for the Packers. On February 11, 2014, the Packers cut ties with him and released him.

What Happened To Greg Van Roten?

In Week 12, he experienced a dislocation of his toe. On November 27, 2019, he was transferred to the injured reserve list.

Before being put on injured reserve on December 12, 2020, he started all 12 of the first games of the season at right guard.

Van Roten was brought back into active duty from injured reserve on January 2, 2021. On May 6, 2022, the Jets decided to let Van Roten go from their roster.
