Andrew Paul Steckenrider is an American professional baseball pitcher who now plays for the Seattle Mariners organization. He was born on January 10, 1991, in the United States.



Earlier in his career, he was a member of the Miami Marlins. Ricky Steckenrider went to school at Greater Atlanta Christian School and then continued his education at the University of Tennessee, where he was a baseball player.

In the eighth round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft, he was selected by the Miami Marlins to join their organization. Before undergoing Tommy John’s surgery in 2013, he pitched for the Greensboro Grasshoppers.



Tommy John has an elbow injury. In 2014, he made one appearance for the GCL Marlins, a rehab start where he pitched one inning during which there was no scoring.

In 2015, he pitched for the Greensboro and Jupiter Hammerheads, where he participated in 25 games (13 starts) and 40 relief appearances, with a record of 5-6 with an earned run average of 3.00.

In 2016, he pitched for Jupiter, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, and the New Orleans Zephyrs, where he had a combined record of 1-1 with a 2.08 ERA and 0.85 WHIP between those three teams.
