American professional baseball pitcher Blayne Chanlar Enlow plays for the Minnesota Twins.

Enlow went to St. Amant High School in Louisiana’s Ascension Parish. He was injured in a car accident before entering his sophomore year of high school, breaking his ankle and pelvis.

In his junior year, he returned to the baseball field. He participated in the USA Baseball 18-and-under squad during his senior year.  He made the decision to enroll at Louisiana State University (LSU) and play baseball for the LSU Tigers there.



Enlow was chosen by the Minnesota Twins with the 76th overall pick in the third round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft.

He signed a contract with the Twins, received a $2 million signing bonus, and was given a position with the Gulf Coast Twins of the Gulf Coast League’s Rookie Division.

He played all 20+1/3 innings in his first professional season in the GCL, compiling a 3-0 record and a 1.33 ERA. He played twenty games with the Class A Midwest League’s Cedar Rapids Kernels in 2018, going 3-5 with a 3.26 ERA (17 starts).

Enlow started the year off in Cedar Rapids before being promoted to the Class A-Advanced Fort Myers Miracle in May. Enlow pitched 110+2/3 innings across 21 games (twenty starts) for the two teams, going 8-7 with a 3.82 ERA and 95 strikeouts.

He returned to Cedar Rapids (now a member of the High-A Central) to start the 2021 season after the COVID-19 epidemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 season. Before it was revealed he would be having Tommy John surgery, terminating his season, he made three starts.
