The National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles have wide receiver and return specialist Britain Covey on their roster. He is 78 kilograms and 1.73 meters tall. He spent two seasons as Timpview High School’s quarterback, racking up 4492 passing yards and 56 touchdowns. He finished fourth all-time in Utah high school touchdown scoring at the end of his playing days.
He guided Timpview to back-to-back state titles, and he twice received the Utah Valley Football Player of the Year award. He played collegiate football for the Utah Utes while attending the University of Utah after graduating from high school. He started eight of the twelve games he participated in as a true freshman.
He was named honorable mention All-Pac-12 and led Utah with 43 catches for 519 yards and four touchdown catches. He also led the conference in receiving yards per game, total receiving yards, catches per game, touchdown catches, and overall receptions. He set the school record for punt return yards, was second all-time in career punt returns, ended second in catches, third all-purpose and sixth in receiving yards.
The Philadelphia Eagles signed Covey as an undrafted free agent after he went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. He was released on August 30, 2022, and the following day he was added to the practice squad. He played against the Detroit Lions in the opening week game, marking his NFL debut.
