Bryan Lavastida is a professional baseball catcher in the United States who currently plays for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball.

Lavastida received his high school education at Westland Hialeah Senior High School and his college baseball training at Hillsborough Community College. The Cleveland Indians picked him up in the 15th round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft.

Lavastida made his debut in the professional ranks with the Arizona League Indians, where he batted .292 in 33 games played.

In 2019, he participated in over 59 games with both the Mahoning Valley Scrappers and the Lake County Captains, compiling a slash line of .335/.410/.481 with two home runs and 38 runs batted in.

The 2020 season was canceled because to the COVID-19 epidemic, hence he did not participate in any games during that year. After beginning 2021 with Lake County, he was moved up to Akron RubberDucks and given a new role.

In September, he was given a spot on the Columbus Clippers roster.  Over the course of 84 games split between two different clubs, he had a batting line of .289/.380/.456 with nine home runs, 51 RBIs, and 16 stolen bases.

On November 19, 2021, the team that would later be known as the Cleveland Guardians added Lavastida to their 40-man roster. The Guardians made the announcement that he would be on the Opening Day roster for the upcoming season on April 2, 2022.
