In the National Football League, Cam Sims is a wide receiver with the Washington Commanders. He stands 1.96 m tall and weighs 100 kg. He attended Ouachita Parish High School, where he participated in football during his senior year. After graduating from high school, the four-star prospect made a commitment to play college football for the University of Alabama.
He played football for the Alabama Crimson Tide from 2014 to 2017, first as a reserve and then as a starter in his junior and senior seasons. Sims was not selected by any team in the 2018 NFL Draft, therefore he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins in May of that year.
In August 2019, the Redskins dismissed him, and the following day, they signed him to their practice squad. He was elevated to the active roster in October 2019.
