American football fullback Cethan Carter plays for the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins. In the United States, in New Orleans, Louisiana, he was born on September 5, 1995. Carter lined up at tight end, H-back, and fullback while playing high school football at Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, Louisiana.

In his senior year of 2012, he caught 23 receptions for 418 yards and five touchdowns, receiving Honorable Mention All-State recognition. In 2012, Rummell won the Class 5A state title of Louisiana with a 14-0 record. From 2013 to 2016, he was a member of the University of Nebraska-Nebraska Lincoln’s Cornhuskers football team. He majored in criminal justice and criminology at Nebraska.

In 2013, he participated in 13 games, 6 of which he started, and caught 10 receptions for 127 yards. 2013 saw Carter recognized by 247Sports as a True Freshman All-American. In addition, he received All-Freshman Big Ten Honorable Mention recognition. On May 5, 2017, Carter agreed to terms with the Cincinnati Bengals.

He recorded his first NFL touchdown in Week 15 against the New England Patriots in December 2019. He had two receptions for 13 yards by season’s end. With 16 special teams tackles, he was a vital member of the Cincinnati Bengals’ special teams. In April 2020, Carter re-signed with the Bengals on a restricted free agent contract for one year. Carter agreed to a three-year deal with the Miami Dolphins in March 2021.
