Pinder graduated from Poquoson High School in Virginia as a high school graduate. Along with Kyle Crockett, he guided his high school baseball team to the state title game in 2009 and 2010.
Pinder was a member of the Hokies’ baseball team at Virginia Tech from 2011 to 2013. That span saw him play at least one half-dozen games per, hitting 322/383/509 with 18 home homers.
