The signing of Christian Barmore’s rookie contract was confirmed by his agent, Nicole Lynn, today. Barmore was selected in the second round.
The former defensive tackle for the Alabama Crimson Tide is now signed with the New England Patriots and was the final first-year player to sign his contract.
According to Over The Cap, the four-year contract will have a total value of approximately $8.5 million and will include a signing bonus of $3.5 million.
The addition of Barmore comes at a time when rookies for the Patriots have already arrived at training camp and are participating in their second day of summer practice.
In addition to Barmore, Ronnie Perkins, a third-round edge rusher out of Oklahoma, was the only other rookie that was still unsigned heading into camp.
The team signed Perkins on the first day of training camp for the rookies. The first four years of Perkins’ contract are reportedly worth approximately $4.8 million.
