Christian Benford is a cornerback for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills. He plays American football. He is 1.85 m tall and 93 kg in weight. At Randallstown High School, he participated in the Big 33 Football Classic representing Maryland and was chosen All-Metro and All-Baltimore County as a senior. Instead of accepting a scholarship from Morgan State, he chose to play collegiate football for Villanova.
Between 2018 to 2021, he competed in collegiate football for the Villanova Wildcats. As a true freshman, he started eight of the nine games he participated in, earning him the title of Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Defensive Rookie of the Year. In addition, he earned third-team All-CAA honors for his 49 tackles, six pass breakups, and five interceptions. In his ten games with seven starts as a sophomore, he intercepted one pass and broke up five others.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, his junior season was cut short and played in the spring of 2021, and he was named first-team All-CAA. He finished his career as a senior with 39 tackles, seven interceptions, an NCAA Division I FCS-high 18 passes broken up, and was once more selected to the first team All-CAA.
