DaRon Bland is an American football cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Sacramento State before transferring to Fresno State.
Bland spent his childhood in Modesto, California, where he also received his high school education at Central Catholic. He was selected as the Valley Oak League Defensive Player of the Year as a senior.
Bland attended Sacramento State University for his first year of college. After recording 43 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and forced fumbles as a junior, he was recognized to the first-team All-Big Sky Conference. In addition, he had two interceptions and eight passes broken up during that season.
After the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States forced the cancellation of Bland’s senior season and postponed it to the spring of 2021, he decided to submit his information through the NCAA Transfer Portal.
