Hafford is a 6-foot-0, 195-pound senior who has played in 56 games for the Texans over his career. He has good size and some strong explosiveness.

At his pro day, he recorded a time of 1.52 seconds for a 10-yard dash, a vertical jump of 38 inches, a broad jump of 10 feet, and 24 reps on the bench press.

He made great use of his athletic abilities during his senior year at Tarleton State (2021). Hafford finished his collegiate career with 50 tackles, eight turnovers (six interceptions, two fumble recoveries), and a score.

His draft stock was low coming out of the FCS, but he was eventually voted WAC Defensive Player of the Year.

Now the Patriots are going to give him a go, with the expectation of finding another undrafted rookie cornerback gem. After all, New England has a stellar track record of identifying and signing talented players at positions outside of the draft.
