Drummond went to Laurel High School while growing up in Laurel, Mississippi. He participated in baseball, basketball, and football while still in high school, and both his football and basketball teams won state titles. Drummond was a 3-star prospect who amassed 3474 all-purpose yards in his four years of high school.
After transferring to Ole Miss, he played collegiate football there. At the conclusion of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Cowboys signed him as an undrafted free agent.
