Born on August 9, 1995, in Havertown, Pennsylvania, United States, Durham Smythe is a tight end with the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League in the sport of American football.

He attended Notre Dame for his collegiate years and played football there. Belton High School was where Smythe received his education and participated in his high school football activities.

Smythe received his education at Notre Dame, where he also participated in collegiate football. Over the course of four years, he finished with a total of 28 catches, 381 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns.
