Isaac Seumalo plays in the National Football League for the Philadelphia Eagles. He stands 1.91 meters tall and weighs 138 kilograms. He attended Corvallis High School, where as an offensive and defensive lineman in his junior and senior years, he was named to the 5A First-team All-State. Despite receiving offers from Oregon, Stanford, and Southern California, he decided to attend Oregon State University.
He participated in college football with the Oregon State Beavers at Oregon State. He started at center for Oregon State in his first season, becoming the first true freshman to do so since Roger Levasa in 1978. He played in all 13 games and was named a Freshman All-American by CBSSports.com and College Football News.
While competing against Star Lotulelei, the current Pac-12 Defensive Lineman of the Year, in a victory over the Utah Utes, he earned high praise for his performance. Seumalo was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in April with the 79th overall pick in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. During the 2017 season, he played in 14 games and started two as a left guard.
Following the Eagles’ victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, he and the team reached a three-year contract extension in March 2019 that would keep him with the team until the 2022 campaign.
