Jacob Alan Lemoine is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball. He was born on November 28, 1993, in the United States (MLB).

Bridge City High School, located in Bridge City, Texas, was Lemoine’s alma mater.  The Texas Rangers selected him in the 21st round, 666th overall, of the Major League Baseball draft in 2012 but he did not sign with them.

He enrolled at the University of Houston in 2013 and remained there through 2015, during which time he was a member of the collegiate baseball team known as the Cougars.



He was a member of the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team in 2014 and pitched 18 and a third innings for them, compiling a record of 2–2 with a 2.45 earned run average.

Throughout his junior year in 2015, he suffered an injury to his right shoulder, which restricted him to playing in only five games during that season.

The Texas Rangers gave Lemoine a signing bonus of $528,000 after selecting him in the fourth round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft.

This placed him 108th overall in the draft. After struggling with issues in his right shoulder that required rotator cuff surgery, he did not play in a single professional game in the years 2015 and 2016.

He spent portions of the 2019 season playing for teams in the Double-A Texas League with the Frisco RoughRiders and the Triple-A Pacific Coast League with the Nashville Sound.
