From 2015 through 2018, Meyers was a player at NC State. Meyers was first pursued as a quarterback, but after his freshman year, during which he redshirted and played a significant role on the scout team, he switched to receiver.

He collected 168 receptions for 1,932 yards and nine touchdowns over the course of his career. He declared for the 2019 NFL Draft after his junior season. 2018 saw Meyers break Torry Holt’s single-season reception record for NC State with 92 catches.

On an 11-yard ball from Brian Hoyer in the fourth quarter of a 45-7 victory over the Cleveland Browns, Meyers scored his first receiving touchdown in Week 10.

The Patriots tendered Meyers a restricted free agent contract in the second round on March 13, 2022. Meyers accepted the $3.9 million second-round tender on June 13, 2022.
