James Cook is a running back in American football who plays for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills. He was born in Miami, Florida on September 25, 1999, in the United States. Miami Central Senior High School was where James Cook played football in high school. After his senior football season, he later changed schools, attending Miami Northwestern Senior High School for his last semester of high school.
He attended the University of Georgia after high school, where he played collegiate football for the Georgia Bulldogs. In his sophomore year, he participated in all 14 of Georgia’s contests and ran 31 times for 188 yards and two touchdowns while also receiving 16 receptions for 132 yards. With 303 yards and three touchdowns on 45 carries in 2020, Cook was the team’s second-leading rusher. He also caught 16 passes for 225 yards and two more scores. After his father passed away, he was unable to attend the 2021 Peach Bowl.
James was a senior for the Bulldogs when they won the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship. He rushed for 728 yards and seven touchdowns and caught 27 passes for 284 yards and four more scores. The Buffalo Bills selected him in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
