Cardinal Newman High School, located in Santa Rosa, California, was Alexander’s high school, and he continued his education at California State University, Long Beach and Menlo College after graduating from there.

In 2017, Alexander became a member of the Los Angeles Angels organization after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent. Between the years 2017 and 2019, Alexander advanced through the Angels’ minor league system.



However, when the Angels decided not to play in 2020, the franchise decided to let Alexander go. After that, the Miami Marlins took a chance on Alexander and signed him as a free agent.

He spent the whole 2021 season playing in the Marlins’ minor league system. Following the conclusion of the season, Alexander exercised his right to enter free agency and was subsequently signed by the Milwaukee Brewers.
