American football cornerback Jaylen Watson presently competes for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs. In 1998, on September 17, Watson was born.
He began his collegiate football career at Ventura College before transferring to Washington State University. He was chosen by the Chiefs in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft to play for them.
In Augusta, Georgia, where she graduated from both Curtis Baptist High School and Lucy Craft Laney High School, Watson spent his formative years.
Watson was a member of the Washington State Cougars’ defence as a cornerback. He had 13 tackles as a rookie, along with two passes intercepted, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery,
which helped him earn honourable mention All-Pac-12 Conference recognition. As a sophomore, he has 43 tackles, 13 pass breakups, 4 interceptions, and 1 fumble recovery. He also recovered from one fumble.
Watson had already made a transfer commitment to USC, but he was unable to complete the required academic criteria to enrol in the school.
Watson was chosen by the Kansas City Chiefs in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft, coming in at number 243 overall.
Watson made his first career interception and scored his first career touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers. He returned an interception that he made for 99 yards and a touchdown.
He received the AFC Defensive Player of the Week award for his performance.
