Born on born December 7, 1995, Joseph Demarius ‘Jody’ Fortson Jr. is an American football tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL).
He was signed by the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2019. Fortson was on the Chiefs’ practice squad for their Super Bowl LIV championship which earned him a Super Bowl ring.
Before moving to Valdosta State, Fortson played his first season of collegiate football at Erie Community College. In 19 games with the Valdosta State Blazers, wide receiver Fortson recorded 37 receptions for 477 yards and 7 touchdowns.
