Jordan Ladon Sheffield is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Colorado Rockies in Major League Baseball.

He was born on June 1, 1995, in the United States. He attended Vanderbilt University during his collegiate baseball career. Tullahoma High School, located in Tullahoma, Tennessee, was Sheffield’s alma mater.

Because it was revealed that he required Tommy John surgery before graduation, he was unable to be selected in the first round of the Major League Baseball draft.

The Boston Red Sox picked him up in the thirteenth round of the Major League Baseball draft in 2013, however, he decided against signing with them and instead enrolled at Vanderbilt University instead.

After missing the entire 2014 campaign so that he could recuperate from surgery, Sheffield pitched for Vanderbilt in 2015, making six starts and sixteen relief appearances.

He would finish his career with a win-loss record of 5–2, an earned run average (ERA) of 2.85, and 55 strikeouts in a total of 60 innings pitched.

Following the conclusion of the 2015 season, he participated in the summer collegiate baseball competition with the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League.

During the 2016 season, Sheffield started 16 games and finished with an 8–6 record, a 3.01 earned run average, and 113 strikeouts in 101 2/3 innings thrown.
