Kaleb McGary is an offensive tackle for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. McGary was born on February 22, 1995, and he now plays for the Falcons.
He attended Washington University for his college football career. In the beginning, McGary was a student at Battle Ground High School,
located in Battle Ground, Washington. His family relocated to the Fife, Washington area at the start of his second season at Fife High School.
In high school, he was a member of the offensive line, the defensive line, and the tight end positions. He will play collegiate football for the University of Washington after making a commitment to the school.
Between the years 2014 and 2018, McGary was a player with Washington. During his time in college, he participated in 53 total games and started 47 of them.
He was awarded the Morris Trophy when he was a senior. In the 2019 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons selected McGary as the 31st overall choice in the first round. It was the team’s first overall pick.
In order to secure the selection that allowed them to take McGary, the Falcons engaged in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams that moved them up to the first round from the second round.
McGary was given the starting job at right tackle for the Falcons after he and Ty Sambrailo shared playing time in that position during the first game of the season against the Minnesota Vikings.
During the 2019 season, he started his first 16 games for the Falcons despite being a rookie.
