Kevin John Gausman is an American professional baseball pitcher who now plays for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball.

He was born on January 6, 1991, and goes by the nickname “Gaus” (MLB). He began his career with the Baltimore Orioles and went on to play for the Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco Giants.

Before beginning his career as a professional baseball player, Gausman earned All-American honours while playing collegiate baseball for the LSU Tigers while he was a student at Louisiana State University (LSU).

During the Major League Baseball draft in 2012, the Baltimore Orioles picked him in the first round, fourth overall. In 2013, he made his debut with an MLB team. In 2021, he earned All-Star status.

During the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft, the Los Angeles Dodgers selected Gausman in the sixth round of the draft. However, Gausman did not sign with the team.

He was a member of the LSU Tigers baseball team throughout his time in college and was recognized as an All-American as a sophomore and a junior.

As a pitcher in high school, Gausman compiled a record of 5–2 wins and 2 losses while maintaining an earned run average (ERA) of 2.79.
