The Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League have a guard on their roster called Landon Dickerson.
The Philadelphia Eagles selected him with the 37th overall selection overall in the second round of the NFL Draft in 2021.
The Associated Press voted him the first team on the All-American College Football Team in 2012 based on his play in college football while attending both Florida State and Alabama.
Hickory, North Carolina, was Dickerson’s home throughout his formative years, and he attended South Caldwell High School for his secondary schooling.
He was chosen as the first team of All-State and played in the Under Armour All-America Game during the senior year of his high school career.
Dickerson was a four-star prospect heading into college and had offers from Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Georgia, and Auburn.
However, he decided to go with Florida State instead. It has been announced that he will play collegiate football with the Seminoles.
Dickerson, who accorded the distinction, was the first true freshman to start the opening game of the season since Jamie Dukes in 1982.
Prior to Dickerson, the only true freshman to start the first game of the season was Dukes. He started all seven of the team’s first games of the season for the organization before suffering a knee injury that put a stop to his season.
He was only two games into his junior season when he had an ankle injury, and he made the decision to take a redshirt for reasons relating to his health.
After the conclusion of the season, he came to the resolution that he would pursue his graduate education at the University of Alabama.
