He began playing football professionally in 2021 after being chosen by the Miami Dolphins as the 21st overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Coleman and the Miami Dolphins reached a four-year rookie contract on May 13, 2021. He was placed on injured reserve on August 31, 2021.
