Linebacker with the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League, Lorenzo Carter. He is 114 kilograms and 1.96 meters tall. It was commonly known that he played football at Norcross High School, where he attended. 2013 saw him graduate and be named to the USA Today All-USA high school football team. He played football in college for the Georgia Bulldogs at the University of Georgia.
He had five starts in 13 games as a true freshman, earning him the University of Georgia newcomer of the year honor. In the third round of the NFL Draft in 2018, the New York Giants selected Carter with the 66th overall pick.
In week six of the 2019 season, during a game against the New England Patriots, he forced a fumble that teammate Markus Golden was able to recover. He finished the season second on the team with 4.5 sacks. Going into the 2020 season, he was the Giants’ starting pass rusher. On October 19, he was placed on injured reserve for the rest of the season after rupturing his Achilles in Week 5.
Week 5 of the 2021 season against the Dallas Cowboys marked Carter’s first career interception from Dak Prescott. He made a yearlong commitment to the Atlanta Falcons on March 22, 2022.
