Defensive end for the American football Al’Malik Demichia Herring was born on November 9, 1997. He now competes for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs (NFL).
The Kansas City Chiefs opted to take a chance on him and sign him as an undrafted free agent in 2021 after he played college football at Georgia.
In the Georgian city of Forsyth on November 9, 1997, Malik Herring made his entrance into the world. He attended Mary Persons High School there for his high school education, and after he graduated,
he joined the military as a four-star recruit. He had interest from more than twenty other schools, but he ultimately chose to enroll on Georgia.
Herring played in all 15 games as a freshman in 2017, recording seven tackles for the year. He participated in 14 games the next year and recorded 24 tackles, two aided sacks and two sacks overall.
He took part in 12 of the 14 games as a junior and started nine of them. He received Georgia’s “Defensive Most Improved Player Award” at the end of the season.
He started at the defensive end for eight of the team’s ten games as a senior, including eight victories. He had 20 tackles after the season was over.
The Kansas City Chiefs chose to take a chance on Herring and sign him as an undrafted free agent after the 2021 NFL Draft saw him go undrafted.
He was recovering from a damaged anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) that he incurred while taking part in practices for the college football Senior Bowl,
therefore he was put on the reserve/non-football injury list to start the new season. He played his first game in week three of the NFL season, a 20-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, and made his debut with two tackles.
