From 2014 through 2016, Mack attended and played collegiate football for the University of South Florida.

He tied the school record with 275 running yards in his debut game at South Florida during his freshman year in 2014. On 202 carries, for 1,041 rushing yards and nine touchdowns in 12 starts, he set a freshman record for USF.
