Marlon Devon Mack is an American football running back for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on March 7, 1996.
Mack was a student at and a collegiate football player at the University of South Florida from 2014 to 2016. In his first game at South Florida as a freshman in 2014, he tied the school record with 275 rushing yards. He established a freshman record for USF with 202 carries for 1,041 rushing yards and nine touchdowns in 12 starts.
Mack went to Florida’s Booker High School in Sarasota. He carried for the Tornadoes for 1,527 yards and 19 touchdowns as a senior.
On offence, he ran for 1,666 yards and 22 touchdowns; on defence, he recorded 100 tackles and intercepted four passes. He made a commitment to play college football at the University of South Florida.
Mack was chosen by the Indianapolis Colts in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft (143rd overall). Mack was the 15th running back selected in 2017 and the first running back to come out of the University of South Florida.
He was the 28th player from USF to be chosen in the NFL draft’s history. Mack had to leave the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1 due to an injury.
Mack was sidelined for the remainder of the season after an MRI revealed a torn Achilles. On September 16, he was placed on injured reserve. The Colts re-signed Mack on March 23, 2021. He completed 28 carries for 101 rushing yards across six games.
The San Francisco 49ers added Mack to their practice squad on September 14, 2022. On September 21, he was added to the active roster.
His release took place on October 11. The following day, he re-signed with the practice squad. The Denver Broncos signed Mack off the San Francisco 49ers practice squad on October 24, 2022.
