For the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League, Michael Deiter plays center in American football. He was born on September 3, 1996, in the American state of Ohio’s Curtice. He played high school football when a student at Genoa Area High School in Genoa, Ohio.

He was chosen as an offensive and defensive lineman for the Northern Buckeye Conference All-Conference team in 2012, his junior year. He was chosen for the offensive line first team All-Ohio squad during his senior year and was chosen as the Northern Buckeye Conference Lineman of the Year. The Associated Press also honored him District IV Lineman of the Year and Lineman of the Year for the Great Lakes Region.

After graduating from high school, he played football for the University of Wisconsin-Badgers Madison’s squad. His first year at Wisconsin was spent on a redshirt. He started all 13 games, including the final five of the season, as a redshirt freshman in 2015, earning his first letter in the process. He started six games at center and seven at left guard.

Following his 4-yard rushing touchdown against Illinois, he was dubbed a front-runner for the “Piesman” Trophy, which is given yearly to a college lineman acting “decidedly un-linemanlike.” He was selected for the AP second team pre-season All American ahead of the 2018 campaign. The Miami Dolphins selected Deiter in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
