Michael “Mike” Ford is an NFL cornerback who plays for the Atlanta Falcons. He is 1.83 m tall and 90 kg in weight. He played football while a student at Marquette Catholic High School for the Explorers squad. As a senior, he was named to the first team of the conference on both attack and defense. He received 28 touchdowns and 1,614 yards on the ground, earning him a spot on the All-State running back team.

He scored five more touchdowns on returns while making 69 stops in defense, recovering two fumbles, and making three interceptions. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University, where he played collegiate football for the Redhawks.

He played wide receiver as a redshirt freshman and redshirted his true freshman season. He recorded 44 tackles, five interceptions, and seven pass breakups as a redshirt sophomore and was selected to the second team of the Ohio Valley Conference. He recorded 32 tackles with two sacks, an interception, and 14 passes broken up as a redshirt senior. On April 28, 2018, Ford signed a free agent contract with the Detroit Lions.
