Montez Sweat, a professional football defensive end, is a member of the National Football League’s Washington Commanders. He is 1.98 m tall and weighs 119 kg. While a student at Stephenson High School and a participant in high school football, he was recognized as one of the best tight ends in the country.

After high school, he committed to Michigan State in order to play collegiate football for the Spartans. Before redshirting in 2014, he played in two games there, recording one sack. After graduating from Michigan State in 2016, he registered at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. In order to play for the Bulldogs, he transferred to Mississippi State.

Named to the 2017 All-SEC football team, he recorded 10.5 sacks in his lone season at Mississippi State.
