Cartier Niko Goodrum, simply known as Niko Goodrum plays professional baseball as a utility player for the Houston Astros baseball team. He is 1.91 m tall. He was born to Tim Goodrum and Connie Goodrum on February 28, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States of America. He had his amateur career at Fayette County High School in Fayetteville, Georgia where he played on the baseball team.

He was drafted out of high school by the Minnesota Twins in the 2nd round of the 2010 MLB draft. He signed with the Twins and received $514,800 as a signing bonus. He then started his professional career after he was assigned to play with the Gulf Coast Twins of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League.

During the 2011 minor league season, he was made to spend the season with the Elizabethton Twins of the Rookie-level Appalachian League. He played for the Cedar Rapids Kernels of the Class A Midwest League in 2013 and spent 2014 playing for the Fort Myers Miracle of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League.

Niko played again for the Fort Myers in 2015 and the Chattanooga Lookouts of the Class AA Southern League. He was assigned in the 2017 season to play with the Rochester Red Wings of the Class AAA International League and was promoted that season to the major leagues on September 1.

The Houston Astros signed him in March 2022 on a one-year contract worth $2.1 million.
