Professional offensive tackle Orlando Brown plays for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League. He is 2.03 m tall and weighs 154 kg. He played high school football while attending Peachtree Ridge High School. He chose to enrol at the University of Oklahoma, where he competed in NCAA football for the Oklahoma Sooners.
He redshirted his first season at Oklahoma before being chosen as the starting left tackle as a redshirt freshman in 2015. In January 2018, he revealed that he would forego his senior year and instead enter the 2018 NFL Draft. He took part in every positional practice and the Indianapolis NFL Scouting Combine, but his performance was bad.
Given that he ran the slowest 40-yard sprint time of any prospect at the combine, NFL analyst Mike Mayock dubbed it “historically horrible.” Baltimore Ravens selected Brown in the third round with pick 83 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. In January 2020, he was elevated to the Pro Bowl roster for 2020 after being chosen as a backup offensive lineman.
Brown was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in April 2021. In March 2022, the Chiefs assigned him the non-exclusive franchise tag. On August 2, 2022, he signed his $16.7 million franchise tag tender after failing to reach a long-term agreement.
