Parker Michael Markel (born September 15, 1990) is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the Oakland Athletics (MLB). He formerly played for the Seattle Mariners and the Pittsburgh Pirates in Major League Baseball.

Markel went to Glendale, Arizona’s Mountain Ridge High School.  He was picked in the 32nd round of the 2009 MLB draft by the Detroit Tigers, but he did not sign. In 2010, he enrolled at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona.

The Tampa Bay Rays selected him in the 39th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft, and he subsequently signed with the team.
