What Is Peter Solomon Position?

Peter Solomon is an American professional baseball pitcher who bats right and throws right. Solomon received his secondary education at Mount Saint Joseph High School, which is located in Baltimore, Maryland.

However, he did not sign with the San Diego Padres after they selected him in the 21st round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft. He was a member of the Fighting Irish baseball team while he was attending the University of Notre Dame.

Following the conclusion of his sophomore year of college in 2016, he participated in collegiate summer baseball for the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League. During his time with the Harwich Mariners, he was recognized as an all-star by the league.

The Houston Astros selected Solomon in the fourth round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft and subsequently signed him. In 2017, he participated in a single game with the Astros of the Gulf Coast League.

He pitched for both the Quad Cities River Bandits and the Buies Creek Astros during the 2018 season, compiling a combined 9–1 record with a 2.32 earned run average and 114 strikeouts over 100+2/3 innings pitched for both teams.

After making a total of two appearances for the Fayetteville Woodpeckers in 2019, Solomon underwent Tommy John Surgery and was sidelined for the duration of that year’s campaign.
