What Is Rodney Hudson Position?

Rodney Hudson, an American football center with the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals, was born on July 12, 1989. He was a two-time All-American football player who attended Florida State University.

In the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs. He has also participated in the Raiders of Las Vegas. In Alabama’s Mobile, Hudson was born.

He played two-way lineman for the Raiders high school football team while attending B. C. Rain High School in Mobile.



The Kansas City Chiefs selected Hudson with the 55th overall pick in the second round. Since Alex Barron, who was picked 19th overall by the St. Louis Rams in 2005, was the Seminoles’ highest-ranked offensive lineman selection.

He signed a four-year, $3.50 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs on July 29, 2011, with a signing bonus of $104,892.

The Oakland Raiders signed Hudson to a five-year, $44.5 million deal with $20 million guaranteed on March 11, 2015. He started 13 games and only surrendered eight pressures during his rookie season with the Raiders.

On March 17, 2021, Hudson was traded to the Arizona Cardinals along with a seventh-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft in exchange for a third-round pick. He was chosen to serve as the Cardinals’ opening-day center in 2021.

On October 16, he was put on injured reserve due to rib and shoulder ailments. He became operational on November 6.
