With Lansing, Tellez began the 2015 campaign. He was named the Midwest League Player of the Week for the week ending May 18. Midseason All-Star for the Midwest League was given to him.

He had 41 runs batted in at the time, which was the most in the league. Late in June, Tellez received a promotion to the Dunedin Blue Jays of the Advanced-A Florida State League.

In his first four games with the team, Tellez hit three home runs, earning him a spot on MLBPipeline’s Prospect Team of the Week and Florida State League Player of the Week honors for the week ending June 29.

On the disabled list, he finished the 2015 campaign. In 2015, Tellez played in 103 games and batted .289 with 14 home runs and 77 RBIs, both of which were career highs.

He participated in 21 games for the Arizona Fall League’s Salt River Rafters during the off-season, batting .293, and led the club with four home runs and 17 RBIs. He was selected for the AFL Rising Stars and All-Prospect Teams.
