Samuel Ehi Eguavoen, an American football linebacker with the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins, was born on February 22, 1993. (NFL). At Texas Tech, he played collegiate football.

At Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland, Texas, Eguavoen played high school football. In his senior year, he made 118 total tackles, four sacks, one interception, two pass deflections, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

He was named to the District 10-5A Second Team. Both ESPN.com and Rivals.com gave him a three-star prospect rating. At Lakeview Centennial, Eguavoen also participated in basketball.

From 2011 until 2014, Eguavoen was a player for the Texas Tech Red Raiders of Texas Tech University. He participated in twelve games, five of which he started, racked up 30 tackles, and in 2011 he was selected for the Big 12 All-Freshman Defense team by Rivals.com.

On February 24, 2016, he committed to the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL. On June 30, 2016, he played in his first CFL game and made four defensive tackles against the Toronto Argonauts.

Eguavoen joined the NFL’s Miami Dolphins on January 7, 2019. On August 19, 2020, the team placed him on the reserve/COVID-19 list, and the following day he was activated.

Eguavoen and the Dolphins agreed to a one-year contract extension on March 16, 2022.
