In addition to completing 142 passes for 1,850 yards and 20 touchdowns, he ran for 551 yards on 107 occasions. For his senior year, he changed schools and attended Allen High. He gained 865 yards on the ground 99 times at Allen while also completing 81 throws for 1,481 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Between 2017 and 2020, he played collegiate football for the University of Minnesota. He participated in one game as a true freshman and ran for 282 yards and eight touchdowns on 76 occasions in 2018. He participated in 12 games as a sophomore and gained 99 yards and 5 touchdowns on the ground while also catching 1 pass for 8 yards.
In his seven games as a junior, he ran for seven yards and two touchdowns, caught three catches for 38 yards, and successfully completed one pass for 20 yards. He made a transfer to the University of Houston in 2021 and joined the Houston Texans, where he played tight end in 12 games. He joined the Dallas Cowboys in 2022 as an undrafted free agent.
