Tanner Gentry, an American football wide receiver with the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills, was born on December 18, 1994.  He attended Wyoming for his college football career before signing a free agent contract with the Chicago Bears in 2017.

On May 11, 2017, Gentry joined the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent. On September 2, he was released, and the following day, the Bears signed him to their practice squad. Gentry was added to the active roster on September 12.

Gentry made his NFL debut in Week 2 on September 17 and had two receptions for 27 yards in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 29-7 loss. He was reinstated to the Bears’ practice squad after being released on September 19, 2017.
