American football cornerback Tariq Quinton Castro-Fields, who presently represents the Washington Commanders of the NFL, was born in Alexandria, Virginia.
On January 14, 1999, he entered the world. He played collegiate football at Penn State. After being picked by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Castro-Fields will join the team’s roster.
His season began with the Washington Redskins when the 49ers waived him before the start of the season. During his formative years, Castro-Fields lived in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where she attended Riverdale Baptist School.
Castro-Fields received offers to play college football in Maryland and Alabama but ultimately decided to sign with Penn State.
Recruiting services gave Penn State a four-star rating for their efforts to get Castro-Fields. For the Nittany Lions, Castro-Fields was there for all 13 games as a freshman and 2 as a junior.
He had 52 tackles, two interceptions and eight pass breakups as a junior, all of which were team highs. Three games into Penn State’s COVID-19-shortened 2020 season, he was injured and unable to play again.
Taking advantage of the extra year of eligibility granted to athletes who competed in the 2020 season as a result of the pandemic, he decided to return to Penn State for the fifth season.
