Tobias Myers is an American baseball player who plays a pitcher for the Cleveland Guardians. He was born on August 5, 1998, in Winter Haven, Florida.
The 24-year-old baseball player is reported to swing the bat with his right hand, which is also the hand he uses to bat.
He plays the role of a pitcher and wears the team’s number 79 jersey. His high school education began at Winter Haven High School in Winter Haven, Florida, and it continued at the University of South Florida where he pursued a degree while playing NCAA baseball for the school team.
At the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft, the Baltimore Orioles selected Tobias Myers in the sixth round.
On July 31, 2017, it is revealed that he was exchanged for Tim Beckham by the Tampa Bay Rays.
He played in 18 games (13 starts) with the Charlotte Stone Crabs of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League in 2019, going 8-1 with a 2.31 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 84+2/3 innings.
He didn’t play in any games since the COVID-19 pandemic caused the postponement of the 2020 minor league season. For the 2021 season, he was awarded a starting spot with the Double-A South Montgomery Biscuits.
On November 19, 2021, Myers was traded to the Cleveland Guardians in exchange for Junior Caminero. The Guardians then signed Myers to their 40-man roster.
