Trevor Michael Richards is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Toronto Blue Jays in Major League Baseball. Richards was born on May 15, 1993.

In the past, he has been a member of the Miami Marlins, the Tampa Bay Rays, and the Milwaukee Brewers. In 2018, he made his first appearance with the Marlins.

Richards received his high school education at Mater Dei in Breese, Illinois. He finished his senior year in 2011 with a record of 9-1 and an earned run average of 1.07.



After graduating from high school, he attended Drury University, where he participated in collegiate baseball. In 2015, he was a senior and made 11 starts, going 5-3 with a 3.61 earned-run average.

In the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft, he was not selected by any of the MLB teams, therefore he decided to join an independent Frontier League team, the Gateway Grizzlies.

On the 31st of July, 2019, Richards was included in a deal that sent Nick Anderson and him to the Tampa Bay Rays. In return, the Rays received Jess Sanchez and Ryne Stanek.

On the 21st of May, 2021, the Milwaukee Brewers received Richards and Willy Adams in exchange for Drew Rasmussen and J. P. Feyereisen from the Tampa Bay Rays.

Richards and Bowden Francis were included in the package that the Milwaukee Brewers sent to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for Rowdy Tellez on July 6 of the same year.
