Trevor was born in Texas on November 25, 1995. He grew up there and had his high school baseball career in Texas at Magnolia West High School in Magnolia Texas. When Trevor completed Magnolia West, he continued at Hill College where he played college baseball as a pitcher for the baseball team.
In 2016, during the MLB draft, the Boston Red Sox chose him in the 18th round of the draft. He did not sign with them and got a transfer to attend the University of Arkansas. He was the pitcher for the week on May 9, 2017, by the Southeastern Conference.
