The Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League field linebacker Troy Andersen. He weighs 110 kg and is 1.91 meters tall. He participated in football during his time at Beaverhead County High School. He was chosen to the first team All-State at safety and quarterback as well as the Montana Defensive Player of the Year after racking up 1,403 passing yards, 877 running yards, and 30 overall offensive touchdowns as a senior.
He also made three interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and 71 defensive tackles. He played collegiate football from 2017 through 2021 for the Montana State Bobcats of Montana State University. He graduated from Montana State in May 2021 with a degree in agricultural business.
In his first season, he started at linebacker and running back. After gaining 515 yards on the ground and scoring five times, along with seven receptions for 45 yards and another score, he was voted the Big Sky Conference’s Freshman of the Year. Along with his sack, he made nine defensive tackles. As he was healing from his injuries, he sat out his final year.
He won the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year honors and was second in voting for the Buck Buchanan Award as a redshirt senior. The 2022 Senior Bowl featured Andersen. With the 58th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons selected him.
